These are the little bags that you find in shoeboxes, at the bottom of a new handbag, a new electrical appliance… Filled with silica gel, they absorb moisture to preserve these accessories. They are therefore just as suitable!
- Collect as many as you can find.
- Put them in an airtight bag or box.
- Swipe your phone as well.
- Lock it all up for at least 48 hours… Yes, we wait! The voice mail will take the calls.
Dry your cell phone with sphagnum moss
This plant, available in garden centers, is reputed to be the absorbent vegetable moss in the world. Just that!
- Fill a box with this plant.
- Bury your phone.
Leave the foam to act for about 2 days: it can retain up to 20 times its weight in water.
When the operation is complete, reinstall the items you removed. You can finally turn your phone back on. It does not work. Before declaring forfeit, recharge it: it may be the battery that is dead.
Does it light up? Top! However, it may still end up rusting. Do not hesitate to save your data while there is still time…
What not to do when your cell phone has fallen into the water?
Take out your hair dryer or place your phone on a heat source such as a radiator: this could damage (and even melt!) Certain parts, or create a condensation effect. Flute!
Put in the freezer to try to solidify the water… By melting, it will force you to come back to square one.
Put in the microwave or traditional oven! Electrical circuits or SIM cards would not resist it. Your household appliances either!
