It’s vital to be comfortable when playing video games, so selecting the right gaming chair is a crucial decision though it may be difficult with how many different options and factors are available. Many top-end chairs are pretty pricey, so you want to ensure you’ll get your money’s worth out of whichever one you select. The most important factor to look for is comfort.

Eureka Typho Chair Setup
The Typhon chair comes with an assembly guide that is far superior to those of other gamer chairs. Most gaming chairs come with some instruction, and I have seen my fair share throughout my life. However, the detail and intuition in these directions are unrivaled by others I’ve seen.
It only took me one hour to build the chair, from start to finish. If I had an extra set of hands, it could have been done in a half hour or less. I was amazed at how quickly I could put this gaming chair together compared to my old one. The instructions were straightforward, with helpful pictures, so putting it all together was a breeze.
The most challenging part was attaching the backrest to the side brackets. I recommend propping up the backrest against something while you correctly position it with the screw holes. This is where a helper would have come in handy.
In addition, you receive an aftercare guide with pointers on how to maintain your chair, such as preventing your dog from chewing it and avoiding stabbed marks with a knife. All jokes aside, this is a helpful document because it has some great tips.
Features of The Eureka Typhon Chair
Let’s get into the details about this chair. What do you get when you purchase it? Is it comfortable, durable, and worth your money?
Backrest Tilt
The backrest of the Typhon chair, like most gaming chairs, tilts back. To do this, pull the lever on the right side of the chair up and lean backward. However, be cautious if you tilt it too far back because when you try to bring it upright again by pulling the lever, it will snap quickly into place.
4D Armrests
The Eureka Typhon comes with 4D armrests, a step away from most gaming chairs that only offer 3D armrests. This means that you can adjust not only the height of the armrests but also their depth and width. To change the depth, push the button on top of each armrest and slide the armrest in or out. To change the width, do the same thing but on the side of the armrests.
This is an excellent feature because it allows you to find the perfect position for your arms, whether you are typing, gaming, or relaxing.
Recline Function
This chair can recline up to 155 degrees, which is excellent for taking a break from gaming or working at your desk. Pull the lever on the right side of the chair to recline and lean back. The chair will lock into place at whatever angle you choose.
Breathable Mesh
The Eureka Typhon’s seat and backrest are made of breathable mesh material. This is great for people who tend to get sweaty when playing games or working for long periods. The mesh is also very comfortable and contours your body.
Durable Base
The Eureka Typhon has a durable base that can support up to 270 pounds. This is a great weight limit because almost anyone can use this chair. In addition, the base has five caster wheels that roll smoothly and allow you to move the chair around quickly.
The Wheel Base
I have always been annoyed by how difficult it is to move these gaming chairs on the carpet, which might be because the wheels need to be of better quality.
The Typhon has been a valuable addition to my equipment. Its metal wheelbase is sturdy, and the wheels glide much more smoothly across my thick carpet, making using the chair much more accessible. Such small details can make a big difference.
How Comfortable is the Typhon?
The seat is the essential component of any chair, including gaming chairs. Eureka’s cold-curing mesh material is designed to provide both comfort and support. The term cold-curing is used in theater and car seat production so that the chair maintains its comfort and durability.
I needed a new gaming chair, so I researched and tested it before finally deciding on this one over a month ago. I have not regretted it since! This chair is more comfortable than any other I’ve sat in, and that’s the most important thing to consider when looking for a new desk chair–especially if you’re spending hours every day sitting in it.
The mesh seat is soft and comfortable, molding around me without being too overpowering. I’ve used Typhon for long gaming sessions without discomfort, so it gets an A+ in the comfort category.
The Final Say
The chair seems durable and long-lasting. For example, the bottom metal wheelbase appears challenging, as is the back piece and base. I will write a follow-up article in 6 to 12 months to comment more about how well it has held up over time.
I replaced my old chair with Typhon because it is much more customizable and comfortable. The flat, broad base and extra cushioning make it comfortable to sit in for long periods.
In the end, that’s all that matters for a gaming chair. I haven’t sat in every single available on the market, so I can’t say this is the most comfortable option. But, it is living up to its claims so far. However, this chair is worth the price.
