Next, you must have the payment system set up for your customers (and your own) convenience. Select “complete account setup” under “payment provider settings.” This is how the payment gateway is set up. Shopify has PayPal set as the default payment method. You can, however, set up alternate payment methods.

Fill out your platform’s “product details” and “statement descriptor” next. To catch the customer’s attention, make sure the name is memorable and the description is accurate. After you’ve finished filling out this information, click “finish account setup.”

If people want to shop at your store as guests, select “optional” for customer accounts in the checkout settings. Select “require first and last name” from the drop-down menu—this aids in the delivery and billing of goods.

Then, for email marketing, choose the “pre-select sign-up option.” If you don’t want to spam your customers, uncheck this box and decide if they wish to receive marketing and promotions from your company.

You must know how you will complete delivery for shipping. It would help if you chose a price-based shipping rate for dropshipping. If you want to ship your items yourself, you should use USPS’s discounted rates available to all Shopify stores.

You should also pay attention to your eCommerce website‘s account and legal settings. If you have more than one person running your e-commerce service, you should “add a staff account” and select the level of access each person has to the platform’s operation and maintenance.

You should also include some other pages to introduce your company. “About Us,” “Contact Us,” and “Shipping Policies” are the most important.

Inventory and Collections

The most exciting part of starting an online business is inventory and collections. It’s time to start selling your wares. Click “Products” > “Add product” to add a product. Make sure that each product has a title and a description.

Images encourage customers to interact with the product, so you should include one. Make an effort to take photos in natural light that are pleasing to the eye. Instead of worrying if you aren’t a natural photographer, look for a good e-commerce photographer and hire one for your convenience.

Customers will have easier access to similar products they are looking for if you use tags and group your product types into collections. You could also enable the “Compare a price” feature for the convenience of your customers. In addition, make sure that the price points for your products vary depending on which variants (small, medium, large, etc.) customers choose.

Discount Codes
